Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Invisible Folder, including anonymous uploads, account features, file delivery, and System Locker-linked access controls.

Last updated June 5, 2026.

1. Acceptance and scope

By accessing or using Invisible Folder, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Invisible Folder is a file upload and distribution service. Some files are intentionally shared with broad audiences, and some are restricted to accounts, groups, private links, or linked System Locker workflows. You are responsible for choosing the right visibility setting for your material.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and comply with applicable law where you live and where your material is uploaded, stored, or downloaded. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the security of your credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

Invisible Folder may not be used to upload, store, transmit, link to, or distribute illegal material. This includes, without limitation, child sexual abuse material, sexually exploitative material involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, material that facilitates trafficking or abuse, malware, phishing kits, stolen credentials, fraud tooling, content that infringes intellectual property rights, and any content whose possession or distribution is unlawful.

You also may not use the service to evade law enforcement, hide ongoing criminal activity, bypass security controls, abuse rate limits, scrape the platform, interfere with the service, or use automation in a way that degrades availability or safety for others.

4. Moderation, removals, and reporting

We may investigate uploads, metadata, access logs, and related account activity when needed to enforce these terms, protect the service, respond to abuse reports, or comply with legal obligations. We may remove files, disable links, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or permanently ban users at our sole discretion.

We are not required to pre-screen every file or continuously monitor every upload. The absence of immediate action does not mean any content is permitted.

5. Law enforcement, safety, and rights-holder requests

We take reports involving illegal material seriously. We may preserve records and disclose account, upload, or access information when we believe disclosure is required by law, supported by valid legal process, or necessary to prevent death, serious harm, fraud, or abuse of the service.

Rights holders, safety organizations, and law enforcement may contact us to report content or request preservation. Contact: [email protected]. Fraudulent, abusive, or unsupported requests may be rejected.

6. Your files and your rights

You retain whatever rights you already have in content you upload, but you grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, scan, process, transmit, cache, and display that content for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the service. You represent that you have the necessary rights to upload and share the material and that doing so does not violate law or third-party rights.

7. Availability and third parties

The service may change at any time. Features may be added, removed, rate-limited, or interrupted without notice. Invisible Folder may rely on third-party providers for hosting, delivery, abuse prevention, CAPTCHA, storage, email, payment processing, or related infrastructure. Your use of those third-party components may also be subject to their terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we believe you violated these terms, created legal risk, endangered users, or used the service in a way that is abusive or unlawful. We may retain information as needed for backups, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance after termination.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Invisible Folder disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunity arising from your use of the service.

10. Paid accounts and lapsed subscriptions

If you hold a paid account, your subscription includes a specific storage limit. Files in excess of the free tier limit (as defined on our pricing page) may be removed if your paid subscription lapses for any reason, including but not limited to payment failure, cancellation, or expiration. You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information and for renewing your subscription, and we will attempt to notify you prior to the end of your subscription's term. We are not obligated to retain excess files after a lapse, and we may remove such files without prior notice.

11. Free tier inactivity deletion

Free tier accounts are subject to deletion after as little as six months of inactivity. Inactivity means no account login, API access, no file upload, and no link access associated with the account. Activity does not include unauthenticated downloads. We may notify you before deletion using the contact information associated with your account, but we are not required to do so. Once deleted, your files cannot be recovered.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located closest to the business's principal place of business in Wisconsin.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Invisible Folder after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.
